Twitter released it’s 2.0 update today providing users a plethora of new enhancements to both the UI and overall performance. The new changes implemented are as follows:
- Easier navigation and layout
- Scanning your contacts to help locate your friends on Twitter
- Universal search
- Autocomplete @usernames while tweeting
- Even easier photo uploading
- Faster tweet actions (reply, retweet, follow, etc)
Perhaps these new updates will bring more users back to the official Android app for Twitter rather than all the substitutes.

At the moment, the web based market isn’t showing an update for me, not sure if anyone else has this problem or not. Pulls up just fine on my phone though.
The widget is so stupid now. You click it and it takes you to that tweet not the whole list like it used to. Now you have to click Menu and then Home. Should’ve kept the widget the same i think.
Just click the bird and it takes you to the timeline!
This looks like it could improve on some of the previous issues the original twitter app, though we will soon find out and looking at Basiix comment it isn’t looking good so far
