Another LG device that debuted at MWC 2011 has landed in the lap of the FCC. Of course the report doesn’t really offer any interesting information, and as you’d guess Verizon is being stingy with details. However, this does mean the device is that much closer to an actual release, which could possibly be before the Thunderbolt.
The hardware the LG Revolution brings to the table is not much different than what we currently have available, although like the Thunderbolt the newer hardware does make a big difference in speed as opposed to it’s predecessors. This device will be running on Verizon’s 4G LTE network and will be boasting a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 16Gb internal storage, 5Mp rear camera with HD video capture, 1.3Mp front camera, and a 4.3″ display. Coincidentally this phone is also being used to test Verizon’s new Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) technology that was demonstrated at MWC 2011.
Personally I’m a fan of LG products, but Im also a T-Mobile customer so this phone doesn’t offer me much. However, it may be a nice option for the Verizon customers out there. Although it’s not running a dual-core chipset, it’s comparable if not better than what’s currently available through “Big Red”. Is anyone waiting on this phone to hit the market?

I was interested for a momment but I decided not to wait and I got me an iPhone 4 and loving it I’m waiting for a phone with jaw dropping specs and easy rooting capabilities.

Now if they’d release a version of this with Tegra 2 or higher “with” T-Mobile AWS that would be a winning combination and definitely wayy better than this version. Of course we have htc Pyramid to forward to real soon but LG is really beginning to bring its High End products mostly to T-Mobile so anything is possible at this point.
