We’ve heard Verizon’s new LTE Samsung called by many names. The newest being the “Droid Charge” which was hinted at by a tipster. However, a comment earlier regarding Costco’s upcoming pre-sale of the device has added a new name to the bunch, and this name comes directly from a Costco sales rep. According to the user, who made a call to Costco in reference to the phone, the new Samsung will either retain it’s initial name of “Stealth” or pick up a the name “Inspiration”. Following this news he also stated that the sales rep volunteered an official sales date of April 7th. It should also be noted that the pre-order, that starts today, will not be available online and must be obtained through the kiosk inside your local Costco store. While we still have no conformation from Costco or Verizon, on any of these matters, I suppose nothing official at the moment, however like everything else the stories continue. [Thanks, Robert]
Just called Costco’s wireless fulfillment company since it’s not on their website. They said pre-orders are NOT being done online. You will need to go to your local kiosk inside a Costco store to do that. Additionally it will be known either as the Stealth or the Inspiration, not the Charge. Haven’t been down to my local Costco to confirm yet. She also volunteered the April 7th sale date without my asking.
