[Update][BREAKING] T-Mobile Deactivating Accounts? Omega Pi 1 April, 2011 36 Comments Have any of you been receiving a message like this? Apparently, customers with rooted phones are getting messages like this from T-Mobile. One thing I’m wondering though, is what the “unauthorized activities” are, according to T-Mobile. Tethering? Removing bloatware like the T-Mobile pack? Software modification? Do you think ATT has started taking control of T-Mobile this early in the game? As I recall, they did send out similar messages like this one to iPhone users that happen to tether. I just phoned T-Mobile, they have no comment at this time. We’ll be updating you all with more information as soon as we get it. Update: You’ve been had. That is all. P.S. Look at the “Tags” below, which have been there the whole time. http://profiles.google.com/the.ogg Bryan Ogg Maybe this is a great way to be able to switch carriers without a termination fee? lol http://twitter.com/harpocrates23 harpocrates23 I got it… only mine said happy April fools day at the end!! Clint Shepherd Sivarter, Just out of idle curiosity, what — if anything — does “gay” have to do with ANY part of the equation? Nothing whatsoever as far as I can tell. In future, if you want to express your dislike, doubt, or some other disdain for something, may I suggest leaving sexuality out, particularly when it is entirely irrelevant? Chris Brunner Clint, your comment is so gay. Just let it go. Joeyk 2 points Chris :D!!! Google doesn’t want the carriers to keep messing with the UI so why wouldn’t they start cracking down on users who mess with their baby. This joke may become a reality. Zorro That wont ever happen unless someone is abusing a feature that requires extra fees. Anonymous As I said don’t be surprised…. http://phandroid.com/2011/04/04/developer-troubled-times-ahead-for-anyone-who-roots/ Zorro That wont ever happen unless someone is abusing a feature that requires extra fees.
