Have any of you been receiving a message like this? Apparently, customers with rooted phones are getting messages like this from T-Mobile.
One thing I’m wondering though, is what the “unauthorized activities” are, according to T-Mobile. Tethering? Removing bloatware like the T-Mobile pack? Software modification?
Do you think ATT has started taking control of T-Mobile this early in the game? As I recall, they did send out similar messages like this one to iPhone users that happen to tether.
I just phoned T-Mobile, they have no comment at this time. We’ll be updating you all with more information as soon as we get it.

Yeah! Well, t mo doesn’t actually have unlimited data anymore! I was throttled last month and the internet was unusably slow for a few weeks!
I have the “unlimited data” in name. I did switch to Verizon with the Thunderbolt. it is VERY good.

Don’t be surprised is carriers or Google do start doing this. Google doesn’t want the carriers to keep messing with the UI so why wouldn’t they start cracking down on users who mess with their baby. This joke may become a reality.
