Almost two weeks ago today Sprint finally issued a release date the first CDMA variant in Google’s “Nexus” line, the Nexus S 4G. While this may seem like lack luster news seeing as this device is exactly the same as the Nexus S that came before it, with the exception of a sim slot and a different cellular radio, Sprint customers will now be able to grab that pure Google experience T-Mobile and AT&T customers have had available since the launch of the Nexus One.
The new Nexus S 4G officially went on sale yesterday and is available at Sprint stores for $200 with a new two year contract and $150 at Best Buy with the same requirement. How many people are going to pick one of these up?

I’m stuck with my evo until December 12, and by then a phone better than the nexus with dual core, preferably. an HTC with sense will be out on sprint…
I would love this phone, but I am in phoenix and Wimax(4g) just seems like vaporware. I know it’s coming but for now, I moved to T-Mobile. Considered VZ, but they only have 4g phones that last for 3-4 hours.
I picked one up and kept my rooted evo as a backup. Tired of companies deciding when we get an update. Come on evo is almost a ye old and was the first 4g n on every commercial and is still on froyo unless rooted. That is the same thing that is going to happen with the 3d and every other phone that is not a nexus. So from now on I’m team nexus and never again will I buy a carrier based Google phone.
