Today is a very big day for all us Android users and for Google. The recent release of the Google Music Beta was just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Google has also just announced it’s new Movie Rental ability on the Android Market.
You now have access to thousands of movie titles with just a quick search. You can search them out on the Desktop Market or on your device. Prices look to be $1.99 – $3.99. Your rental will be available for 30 days, once you start the movie you have 24 hours to complete viewing.
Google has a movie app that works on tablets. The tablet app will be part of the new Android 3.1 update. You will have be able to watch the movie in its full HD glory via tablets that support it. They are also incorporating the same offline options as the music program to allow you to watch the movie with out the need for a data connect.
Check it out here from Google I/O which is currently underway.
Feel free to check out the movie collection on Android Market via the web.
