Manually Update Your EVO 4G to Gingerbread Now

In case you weren’t paying attention yesterday HTC and Sprint officially announced the Gingerbread update for the HTC EVO 4G. While this update will be rolling out in a couple of days via OTA they’re also offering a manual upgrade that’s available today. If you don’t like waiting – not many of us do – you can grab your by going to; Menu > Settings > System Updates > HTC Software Update. Doing so will automatically initiate the download and soon enough you’ll be enjoying Gingerbread. Let us know how it works out.

Bryce Walter should be fired for reporting the XPRT will get the update 2 days before its release. That is FALSE!

Great update. Battery life is wonderful and graphics are crisper. Love it.
