Life is about to get a whole easier when perusing the never ending Android Market we all love to hate and hate to love. Today VIA Googlemobile.blogspot, it was announced that the new Android Market is being launched over the coming weeks. All devices running Android 2.2 and above should see a new market magically appear when they least expect it.
The latest update will finally bring the U.S. patrons the ability to rent and download movies and include a new BOOK section to make reading on the go a breeze. Among other things, the layout has changed dramatically and they have added a more friendly UI. Google has created more space to provide featured applications and editors choice apps. With the incorporation of more top charts and the ability to swipe through the store, going to the market will be easy and fun again.
Take a look at the video demonstration they provided via YouTube of the New Market in action.
All I can saw is “WOW!” It’s about time we got an overhauled market, even if it does look a little Windowsphone 7ish. I’ll leave the color scheme changes to our remarkable themers.
[UPDATE] That sure didn’t take long to get out did it. Thanks to all the guys that already tested it and link it on G+. With out further ado, here is a link to a working version of the new Android Market. No waiting required. Be sure to run a back up first, just in case you have any issues. Install the newest edition and give it a whirl.
Current devices that have been stated to be successful are - HTC Desire HD, EVO3D, Thunderbolt and T-Mobile Vibrant. Rooted devices currently DO NOT Support rented movie play back, you will be charged but not able to watch. Let us know what device you installed it on and if it worked.
Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
Looks cool. Some screens reminded me a little of the Amazon App Store. Also like the review mentioned it slightly resembles WP7 but I think that comes also because of the new Google branding which is more clean and clear. Hope it trickles down to my phone soon.

yea i dont kno how to feel about the whole windows Zune/WP7 side swipe menus up top, i dont like it, but as long as they keep it simple with 3 menus, it wont be bad, not like Windows when your ass is swiping thru 20 categories, lol
looks too much like microsoft phone 7 for me… if i wanted that i would have gotten the microsoft phone 7 product. I hope that Micro$oft sues Google over it just to stop this stupid update. Is this also a preview for IceCream Sandwich Android? I hope not or i may goto some other OS like Webos…
