A Few CM7 Settings Tips

Judging by the number of downloads that are currently showing up on the CM7 builds, I know there are plenty of you out there. I thought you might like to know a few more settings that I ran across by accident. Some of these may be new to the latest builds, or they could be old. Some of you may already know about them, but I’m guessing many of you don’t.

Status Bar Tweaks - This is located under MENU > CyanogenMOD Settings > Interface > Status bar Tweaks.

AM/PM style clock – In this setting you can change the AM/PM from Normal, small or none . It is set to none by default. I never understood the need for this to displayed on a clock unless you live some where like Alaska.

Batter Percentage – By checking this box you change the battery from the standard look to one that shows percentage with a small vertical battery indicator to the right of it.

Signal Text – In this setting you can now change the signal bars to display as dBm. You can either have just the dBm number or the number with dBm next to it.

Status bar brightness – This setting will help bring back (at lest for the Vibrant users) the ability to slide your finger across the status bar to quickly and easily adjust your screens brightness.

Lockscreen Settings – Located under MENU > CyanogenMOD Settings > Lockscreen

Style Options – Under Style options you can find “Choose Background”. This option will allow you to choose a Color fill or custom image as your lock screens wallpaper.

Widget Options – Here you can add or remove various controls for music play back, displaying the track names or album art and adjust the control for when a headset is plugged in or a Bluetooth device is connected. You may also choose to have your battery status always appear on the lock screen.

Lockscreen Gestures – These settings allow you to create custom gestures to open certain applications directly from your lock screen with out the need to unlock it first. For instance, if I draw an ‘S’ on my lockscreen, it will set the device to vibrant. I chose an ‘S’ for sound. You can create any gesture you desire for any app.

These are just a few of the hundreds of setting you can ind by simply cruising around in the menus. The team does a fairly good job of labeling everything as well so you can understand what it is you are setting.
