Me: ”You Mentioned that there’s no plans to launch the new tablet in the U.S. at Showstoppers. Can you please clarify if u were referring to the Note or the 7.7?”
Her: “Both.”
There wasn’t a reason provided with the answer, but we can speculate all we want. It could be because the American people have grown so accustom to getting huge subsidized prices on devices that Samsung fears it would be to costly to us and not sell. They could also feel that we already have the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and that should be good enough to hold us over for a while. Maybe they have another trick up their sleeves with a stateside carrier for something completely different. As far as the Note is concerned, after seeing how poorly the Dell Streak 5 did in the U.S. market they probably feel the Note would suffer the same fate. Then there is the ole’ switch-a-roo possibility. They may already have something lined up and just won’t talk about it. I am of course hoping for the latter of the possibilities.
Who knows at this point, we will try and get some sort of answer from them as soon as we can. For all those sitting on pins and needles to see what carrier might be launching either of these devices, you might want to pick up some band-aids and hydrogen peroxide to clean up those wounds.

the Dell 5 was a chunky ass device not marketed to be a phone, terrible battery, very slow, this doesnt even compare. True if you price a phone for 800$ its not gonna sell, they need to stop being greedy and making a 400 or more profit on each phone.
