Samsung San Jose Mobile Labs takes to flight with Pure Breeze Launcher

Home replacements are a staple in our Android community and in our lives. Most enthusiasts will have their favorite, much like David and his love for GO Launcher EX. Others of us have a nagging addiction to try them all and switch back and forth regularly. That is a bit more my style. I haven’t found one that really sticks like glue to my usage just yet. In my quest to find the launcher that ‘does it right’, I stumbled across this launcher from Samsung San Jose Mobile Lab. I see the word ‘Launcher‘ and install it before I even have a chance to read anything about it.

The aim of this launcher is to help you quickly and easily organize your apps, groups, tasks and create shortcuts in a ‘breeze’. Providing a similar MIUI/iOS-ish look and feel, that is not always something everyone is looking for in a launcher. Take a look for yourself -

I have no reservations telling you to give it a shot, but I think it still has a lot of work to be done before it really takes off. Getting around the layout and the ‘Kite’ is a bit tricky at first. I consider my self some what of a power user and it took a good amount of patience to understand how they have set this thing up. Would I say jump on ship and grab the paid version? Not until you have had time to test out the lite version first and see if you can make your way around safely and easily.

The overall concept is great though. I think this would fit well with users that primarily use apps more than home screen widgets. If you are a folder Nazi, this would also help to clean all those folders up very nicely. Hopefully the developers keep at it and make this something to brag about.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.

I agree it seems like a good add on to an existing launcher but surely not a standalone. it cant support 4×4 widgets?
