Magnifier- Free Song Archive

Last week Google announced its new music blog style website, Magnifier. Offering weekly updates to some of the Google Music teams favorites and helping you too discover new music that you can actually have and not have to steal. Today I went back to revisit the site and see what other goodies it had to offer. Along with the main tabs at the top, there is quite a bit more to the site then most realized. One of the sections that I found is the Free Song Archive. This is where the Google Music guys have archived their favorite songs, separated into various categories, making it easy to find your style and genre.

It is a very handy little resource. Having free access to songs like Chop Suey! by System of a Down and Cherry Pie by Warrant was a nice surprise. It helped me to remember some of the bands and artists I miss listening too. If you haven’t check out the latest addition to Google services, pop on over to Magnifier and check it out. Everything is free and can be instantly added to your Google Music account. Be sure to let us know what other great music you find buried in the site.

I worked at T-Mobile for 5 years. I was the go to guy for Android phones and training. That passion didn't stop even after my departure from the company. I currently moved up from my MyTouch 3G to a Samsung Vibrant. A lot has changed in a very short time. I look forward to all the latest and greatest every time I wake up.

  1. [...] There is an event set to take place on November 16th called “These Go To Eleven.” Obviously a take on amplifiers that have an 11 on their volume knob. I have had a couple such amps in my day. The event should be the launching and official info on Google’s latest venture into a full-fledged online music store. Judging from the screen shots that Ricardo from TechnoDroidVE was able to get, you can get a fairly good look at what to expect. The music purchasing service will be a new addition added to our Android Market. So searching and locating music will be similar to what we are already used to for apps and games. There will be a featured ‘Free Track of the Day” to help get people interested and offer you something new to listen to everyday. Pretty similar to what they have implemented within Magnifier.
