"AndroidPINS" –Android Pinterest Snapshot
Okay, soooo, I might be showing my ovaries here, but, am I the only one that’s dying for some developer out there to get to it and bring the addiction that is Pinterest, to Android? I apologize in advance if I am introducing you to your [future] latest guilty pleasure, but, in case you’re not familiar and currently asking yourself, “What is Pinterest?”…welp, basically, it’s a site that allows you to create virtual pinboards. See, you create various boards (for instance, you could create an ‘AndroidPINS’ board, as I did) and then as you come across different images on the web that you’d like to ‘bookmark’, you just ‘pin’ them to your boards for easy access (when you click on the image that you pinned, it takes you directly to the site that you snagged it from)! It may not sound all that enthralling, but trust me, if you sign up and start pinning, I can promise you that you’ll get addicted. Which brings me back to my problem, I’m totally addicted–but, more often than not, I’m on my G2x …and unfortunately, I can’t do any pinning because there’s no [ANDROID] app for that! I mean, coooome ON, the other guys can pin, why can’t I? Consider this my desperate outcry to you talented Android developers out there to bring a Pinterest application to the Android Market, please…I mean, I’m just trying to LIVE here. And by ‘live’, I totally mean, pin.
Am I the only one that wants to see an Android app for this, or are some of you out there waiting on it too? Let us know!

Yeah, it sucks that only iphone apps are available, considering that android outsells iphone 2:1…..I use my android more than my desktop. Like most folks probably.
They recently revamped their mobile site so that it works on Android—http://m.pinterest.com/
Hmm, you’re kinda right, it does look like there is ‘some’ functionality…I say ‘some’ because, as far as I can tell, you can only repin items within the pinterest site (instead of being able to pin from any site on the interwebs, as the desktop version allows), and only from the boards of people that you follow…and I don’t see the search function. Buuuut, it’s a start, and I’ll take what I can get! Thanks for letting me know
I can’t even repin on my droid! I can comment but that’s it! The repin button’s there all right, but hitting it does jack! I’m stuck with my droid for now. Any ideas?
I found that if you hit repin, then click in the text field, it will then let you choose which board & then you can repin.

You are NOT the only one!! Before they changed things recently I could atleast use my mobile browser and get on the site and “somewhat” do what I wanted and now……NOTHING!!!!! Im crying.

I’ve had my Toshiba tablet for @ 6 months. Love it BUT. My daughter has an I phone 4. I’m jeolous what the IPhone can do. I want pinterest!!!

i agree. i NEED a Pinterest app. i love love love Android but they need to find ways to keep up. sadly i have thought about going to the “other guys” just bc of sitations like this. then that little green robot looks at me and i stay android..but they still need Pinterest.

I repin from my DROID daily. Pinterest is extremely addicting. The Iphone app is slow anyway.
I was pinning from my EVO…but have not been able to since Wednesday. When I attempt to login….I get redirected too many times for the Droid to allow it?! Anyone know why it would have worked for a week then suddenly is redirecting like this?

Looks like I was wrong. I haven’t been following along very closely on this Pinterest thing. Robyn, the original poster of the article, says she got it in the market. Like you though I am not finding it anywhere. Ill see if we can find it somewhere for you though.
There was a pinterest app, I downloaded it. To say the least, it sucks. Now, it’s not there, guess it was pulled due to sub-par ness.
Supposedly, the app in the Android Market was pulled b/c it’s a fake.

I also read that the app was a fake.. I emailed the pinterest team to see if there is an app in the works…. no reply so far.
I have an app on my android called PHOTO TO PINTEREST. I use it every day- it lets me pin all I want.
Got my invite, tried to apply and there’s no way to drag the pin button to the bookmark bar. I’m not that tech savvy but there’s gotta be an easy way. I have no other access to internet but my phone except public library (1 hour per person per day – hardly worth going.) Saw on DB someone is following me…nothing to show them…if anyone knows an uncomplicated backdoor please let me know.
