Were you unable to attend the Big Android BBQ this year? Don’t feel bad, there is always next year, right? In the meantime, you can still own your very own piece of Android history and help a great cause at the same time. During the event, there was a 5′ X 3′ specially made banner from XDA Developers. It was laid out for XDA team members, developers and all around general Android influences from around the globe. A small sample of the signatures you can find listed on the banner include, but are not limited to -

Steve Kondik (Cyanogen)
Stacie Kondik (Wife of Steve)
Koush
Benji
SassiBob
Azrienoch
Stericson
Ray Walters
Josh Groce
AdamOutler
The Rom Mistress
Big Keivan
Aaron Kasten
Jake Southers (droiddev)
Steven Smith (Rootz Wiki)
and even our very own Simon Walker

All proceeds from the auction, which is live right now via eBay, will be donated to One Laptop per Child project. The goal of this organization to help provide every child with a rugged, low-cost, low-powered connected laptop. It is aimed at giving every child world-wide a helping hand in locations where a computer is not readily available. It is a really great organization to help support.

As I stated earlier, the auction is live right this very minute. I see 9 bids already and the banner is currently going for $102.50. The auction will end on Oct 21st at 7:15 am PST. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go put your bid in now though.

P.S. Retweet this and send it to everyone you know. The money goes to a great cause and the winner gets a great piece of Android history.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
