Android 4.1.0 update for the Galaxy Nexus

A new version of Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.1.0, has made its way to the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. While the details are still sketchy about everything included in the OTA, it seems there is an updated radio (baseband) version that should (fingers crossed) improve the device’s performance. There’s also a newly added screen saver, which is likely the “Dreams” feature that took the Internet by storm yesterday. P3Droid, the same gentleman responsible for leaking the G-Nex ringtones and sound files a while back, was kind enough to drop a screenshot on MyDroidWorld to give the community a heads up.

Is this the last  piece of the puzzle that will finally get this fall rolling? Will the Nexus ever see the light of day? Your guess is as good as ours, but this is definitely a good sign. We’re waiting on you, Verizon. It can’t be much longer now — or can it?

Android addict would be the two words I would use to describe myself. It’s the first thing I check in the morning, and the last thing I check before bed. I’m 30 years old, my first Android phone was the G1, shortly after its launch. I have also owned a myTouch 3G, and I have a myTouch 4G, which I am absolutely in love with. Other than Android, I’m a father, brother, college student, and almost-full-time employee at a local brewery/restaurant here in the cornfields of Iowa. If there’s anything you’d like to know, please feel free to hit me up. I’m a pretty nice guy, and I respond as quickly as I can. Thanks for stopping by!
