Tablet image search updated by Google, now with cool ‘Carousel’ View

Anyone that has owned a tablet in the last year has seen some pretty great improvements. Many of which included better viewing design and larger touch targets for tapping on things. Google is all about updates that make things easier for us all. Today they have made another update adding in a nifty little image carousel for viewing large image results. After searching out an image, simply tap on one you like to see a full screen view of it. Now you can scroll left or right to go through the images from the search with out the need to go back to the entire search results page. Loading is done while you swipe so you shouldn’t have to wait for an image to show up at all.

Don’t worry about looking for some sort of crazy OTA or anything. The update is handled on Google home page and recognizes that you are on a tablet. Take a quick look at the video below to see how it all looks.

I am the proud father of three, 3, 9, and 12. I recently upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S3 to the Sony Xperia Z. Having so many kids warranted a change of pace. Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
