Samsung Epic 4G Touch Gets Unsupported CyanogenMod 7.2

0

Being a difficult phone to have all our rooting and flashing fun with, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch is finally getting some Cyanogen love, by getting 7.2 added to it. Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy II can now be added to the list of  Cyanogen babies.

XDA member  bubby323 has successfully ported this ROM to the phone, and of course it is not completely finished and has its little bugs as all ports do. Just remember that the CyangenMod team does not support this port, but for you Epic 4G touch users out there, get a taste of the good “ROM” life. Here is what is not working and what is working:

Working:

  • 3G
  • Data (thanks Deano & TCP)
  • Bluetooth
  • Auto Rotation
  • Sound
  • WiFi
  • Calls
  • Camera

Not working:

  • 4G
  • GPS
  • Bluetooth
  • Haptic feedback
  • External SD not mounting.
  • Unable to dial emergency numbers (911)
