The Samsung Galaxy Nexus has certainly seen its ups and downs since its inception. The year’s most talked about smartphone from Samsung first gave users in the UK troubles with a bug that caused the device’s volume to go haywire, while users in the United States have complained about issues with signal strength, less than a week from the phone’s launch.
According to a report from ComputerWorld, who spoke with Verizon spokeswoman Barbara Raney, an update is in the works, though Raney did not disclose any information about its availability. In an email response to CW, Raney insisted that “there is no issue with the performance of the device.” Furthermore, a handful of Big Red customers report being told by Verizon customer support to expect an update related to signal strength sometime in January.
Somebody isn’t owning up to the truth here, folks. The people experiencing these issues are either dreaming them up out of pure boredom, or Verizon is doing there best to cover up a party foul on their part. My bets are placed on the latter of the two. At any rate, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for anything more solid.

My biggest issue is the volume level. At max volume I can barely hear the ring or navigation. This has become such an issue since I got the phone last week that I may have to return it.
I also have had issues with the rotation speed when moving to landscape. It can sometimes take up to 3-4 seconds to rotate. That’s sort of embarrassing when trying to show off how cool my phone is!
The only connection issue was today, but I think that was a nationwide 4G thing.
That is what I am afraid of with the volume. I use more OG Droid to listen to music all the time. I need to check out the Nexus and see how the volume really is. If it will be OK or too soft.
Not seen any of these issues so far.
I switched to Verizon yesterday just for the Nexus. Of course VZ had major connection issues yesterday(since they had their big outage) I called and they told me an update was pushed out and to remove my SIM and it would fix my issue. Today it works great.
It does seem to rotate slow, and even transitions between screens seems slower than my Nexus One.
I received my nexus sat 12/17 i believe there is more than a indicator problem. I am always getting web page not available. Go to email inbox to see no connection available retry. I love the phone i hope that they resolve all the issues, because it is B/S if they are saying it is only a indicator.
