The most recent leak, and only one I can think of so far, is that of the new Pantech Element 4G. AT&T should be announcing this device officially at their annual keynote. It is an 8-inch Honeycomb 3.2 tablet sporting AT&T’s LTE service. Housing a descent 16GB of memory, a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 5MP rear camera with 1080p video recording and of course a 2MP front facing camera for taking pictures of your beautiful face and video chatting. We can’t forget to mention that is also said to be “waterproof for real life”. Not to be confused with full underwater video calls. More so is splash resistant in the case of a spill or a little rain. Pricing rumors peg this to land for $299 on a new two-year contract or $499 outright.
We here at AndroidSPIN already have a scheduled meeting with Pantech to get some info and see what they have in store for 2012. It is hard to think that the specs and picture above could be false, but you never know. Either way, we will have some time with this device and anything else they plan to release.
