Looks like another Android tablet running the tasty Ice Cream Sandwich was announced at CES. This tablet being just called the “Impression” is sure to turn some heads with its 7-inch version and a 10-inch version.
“The new I7A now has a high-resolution, capacitive screen, and maintains a very low-cost to consumers,” said Gary Bennett, Leader International’s Vice President of Sales, North America. “It’s truly one of the most versatile, convenient and powerful tablets in this price range.” A powerful tablet for pretty cheap. Cannot go wrong with that.
The new I7A features a 1Ghz processor and 512MB RAM, Android 4.0 with Adobe Flash 10.3, and a seven-inch capacitive WSVGA display, front (0.3MP) camera, Bluetooth, and a built-in microphone to support video conferencing. The I7A will be available at the end of the first quarter for the price of $179.
the I10A it has a 1 GHZ Tegra 2 dual-core processor, and a 9.7-inch capacitive (5-point), widescreen IPS display. The tablet has 10.3 flash support, and has a 2.0 MP front and back camera. The I10A will be available at the end of the first quarter for the price of $299.
“We’ve improved on a design that set the standard for affordable performance tablet technology,” said Gary Bennett, Leader International’s Vice President of Sales, North America. “Consumers who want to check email, experience the Web, videoconference and use any of thousands of apps for entertainment and productivity can do so at a price that won’t break the bank.” Well said sir. What do you guys think? Would you get any of these or are more for the Transformer Prime like I am?

I see a few problems with this right off. ASUS is pricing a 7″ quad core ICS device at $250, so competition is already very tough. Then there’s capacitive keys on a device running ICS. Ugh. Why would they do this?
Just wish someone would ditch the *overdone* black body around the display and design a tablet body with the outer area around the display as a transparent outer frame. The area behind the display could still be black, or even a nice composite. Just put all the electronics out of sight, all under the display area.
