During the event we of course got the confirmation that AT&T would be supporting the device. They made that announcement during their press conference and it was readily available through out the show. Seeing that there was nothing all that different from the current international Note, we didn’t spend a whole lot of time with the device. I did snag a few photos if you are interested.
Now we are getting hints of another carrier picking up the Note, or soon to be named the Journal. Which is still a fitting name. We know the carriers like to alter device names for uniqueness. Rumor has it that Verizon will be picking up the device soon. Of course the Samsung Exynos chip set would have to be replaced with a Qualcomm dual-core or similar chip set to play nice with their LTE network.
For now this is all just back-end talk with nothing concrete to confirm it. At least not yet. We would imagine that if Verizon is going to do it then they will want to make a formal announcement pretty soon. Until then, you can see a few images that I snagged and even get a good laugh at the character drawing of me done during the show.
