CES 2012: Lethal Protection unveils Life-Phorm all-in-one positioning devices – This is not your average device Stand

Lethal Protection Life-Phorm

One of the most fascinating things about CES is all the “little guys” you come across in the Las Vegas Convention Center during the four days of madness in the desert. Sure — major players like Samsung, Microsoft and Motorola were all over the place. But some of the most wonderful products I came across were those tucked away in the smaller, less-extravagant booths in the north and south halls of the LVCC.

Early day one, Stormy and I stumbled across the Lethal Protection booth and were instantly drawn in by the product they had to offer. The product I’m referring to is the just-unveiled-at-CES Life-Phorm all-in-one positioning device — picture Terminator meets tablet/phone/camera stand. However, the Life-Phorm is unlike any device stand you’ve ever seen before. This is no boring “stand” that just sits in one place and props your device up.

The Lethal Protection Life-Phorm is a product that has been designed to incorporate all aspects of day to day use. The device’s shape can be changed to adapt and conform to any situation the user is in. It can be used in a car, as well as at home or in the office, making this a practical solution for device protection and wherever you are. The Life-Phorm’s functionality is only half of what makes it as cool as it is though, with appearance being another heavy influential factor. It looks like a mutant spider, sent from Outer Space to unleash its grasp on your device and give the perfect viewing angle, wherever you are.

Lethal Protection offers two options for their positioning devices:

  • Life-Phorm™ Pro, Lethal Protection’s first product, has gained recognition in national publications and has been named an honoree for Innovation in Design and Engineering from the 2012 International CES. Made with carbon fiber and metal, Life-Phorm™ Pro is light, yet incredibly strong. It’s high quality material, craftsmanship and engineering can withstand the most harsh environments.
  • Based on this award winning design, Lethal Protection has created a more affordable version for the masses. This new version, Life- Phorm™, was shown publicly for the first time at the 2012 International CES with
expected shipping to retailers in April 2012.
The Life-Phorm Pro will retail for $149, while the Life-Phorm will be slightly less expensive, at $69.99.

We were lucky enough to snag a quick demo from Lethal Protection Founder, Brian Zoll at CES. We were his first demo of the show, and this was the first demo we caught on camera, so forgive us for the less-than-professional quality of the video — it’s amazing regardless, and I’m sure you’ll be just as impressed as I was after seeing the demo.

To make things even cooler, Lethal Protection is a mobile accessories company based in the USA with a company philosophy to live your life, protect your device. That being said, I think they’re already doing a wonderful job and I’m looking forward to the Life-Phorm’s launch at the end of April. We’ll be doing an in-depth review at that time, so expect plenty of pictures and videos of the device in action once it is readily available. Until then, stay tuned — we’ve got tons of goodies coming to share with you in the weeks ahead!

Android addict would be the two words I would use to describe myself. It’s the first thing I check in the morning, and the last thing I check before bed. I’m 30 years old, my first Android phone was the G1, shortly after its launch. I have also owned a myTouch 3G, and I have a myTouch 4G, which I am absolutely in love with. Other than Android, I’m a father, brother, college student, and almost-full-time employee at a local brewery/restaurant here in the cornfields of Iowa. If there’s anything you’d like to know, please feel free to hit me up. I’m a pretty nice guy, and I respond as quickly as I can. Thanks for stopping by!
