ESPN ScoreCenter for Android updated with scoring and breaking news Notifications

Attention sports fans and mobile enthusiasts alike. The ESPN ScoreCenter application for Android received an update this morning, bringing scoring and breaking news notifications along with it. Users can now get game start, scoring plays, end of period/quarter/half score notifications, or stay up-to-date on all the happenings of their favorite teams with breaking news alerts. Furthermore, the update also brings a slew of fixes for certain devices, especially for those running Ice Cream Sandwich.

The ESPN app has come a long way since it was first introduced for the Android OS. The app used to be painful to use and offered very little functionality. Our hats go off to ESPN and their development team for the wonderful job they’ve done getting this app to where it is today.
