Boot Manager gives users the ability boot between 5 ROM’s quickly and Easily

When many of us think of a ROM we think of the argues task ahead of us. We have to get the ROM, put it on the SD, boot to recovery, make a backup, wipe everything, flash it and then hope it all goes well and boots up. It can be a little scary when the first boot screen comes up and stays put for a little longer than we think it should. It is the process we are used to and must endure to try new things though. Then there is the decision making aspect of it all. Do I really want to try this new ROM out, is this going to be worth my time or should I just leave it all alone right now. Sometimes it is more work than we want to go through. Now a great deal of your headaches have been alleviated from the ROM flashing equation thanks to Init 2 Winit Apps.

They have created a fairly easy to use Boot Manager application that lets you swap between ROM on your device. You can install up to 5 ROMs at one time to your device and with a simple reboot you are up and running. It sounds to good to be true doesn’t it. After watching the video below and reading through the market comments, everything seems to be legit. Of course there is a little more to it than just installing the application. The developers go through it step by step below though.

There is a running list of devices that this application works with, see if your device is supported before you spend the money.

Current Supported Devices
HTC Desire
HTC Desire HD
Htc Desire S
HTC Desire Z
Htc Evo 3D
HTC EVO 4G
HTC G2(aka Vision)
HTC Incredible 1
Htc Incredible 2
Htc Incredible S
HTC Inspire4g
HTC MyTouch 4G
HTC Nexus One
Htc Sensation
HTC Thunderbolt
Motorola Droid 1
Motorola Droid 2
Motorola Droid 2 Global
Motorola Droid X

As you can tell there isn’t a single Samsung device in that list. That makes me sad and means I can’t test it out to report back to you guys. The devs say they are working to bring this to the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S very soon. So there is hope for the rest of us. Simple click or scan the QR code below to pop over to the market to read through their description and other information about the app.

Application: Boot Manager
Developer: Init 2 Winit Apps
Cost: $2.99

I worked at T-Mobile for 5 years. I was the go to guy for Android phones and training. That passion didn't stop even after my departure from the company. I currently moved up from my MyTouch 3G to a Samsung Vibrant. A lot has changed in a very short time. I look forward to all the latest and greatest every time I wake up.

  1. This is a great app and a great concept. I used it on my Evo a while back. My only complaints are that when you have several ROMs installed the app can get a little glitchy, but that is generally outweighed by pure geekshine. The other problem is that the ROMs stored in the slots are saved to the SD card and they launch from the SD card…, so have a fast card (class 10 or U1) if you want to have decent response!
