Steam App Now Available in the Android Market but is in Closed Beta

Lot of you gamers out there have probably been waiting for the official Steam app to hit the Android Market. Well wait no more. The Steam community can now be accessed from your Android phone. Now for those of you wondering what exactly this Steam app is, it is basically an app to keep track of Steam sales and you can chat with Steam friends straight from your phone. This is not an app to download PC games to your Android phone, just more of a social media app. At the moment it is in closed beta and Valve Corporation updated us by saying:
We have now granted access to the first 7500 people who attempted to login in app and we plan on increasing that number steadily. We want to make sure that mobile experience is good for everyone who participates and the safest way to do that is to gradually let users in. We appreciate the patience of those of you who have not yet received a beta invitation. For those of you who are participating in the beta please don’t forget to gift your beta key to a friend!
So even though you might not be able to login just yet, I would suggest downloading the app anyway. That way once it updates out of closed beta, you will be notified and ready to fire away.

Application: Steam
Developer: Valve Corporation
Cost: Free
