Android 4.0.4 leaked for Samsung Nexus S 4G

It comes as no surprise that everyone is itching for an Ice Cream Sandwich build to hit their device. If you are the lucky owner of a Sprint Nexus S 4G and are rooted, you have an opportunity to get some icy love right now. It is based on Android 4.0.4 and is labeled as IMM26. This could very well be the build that will be pushed out as an OTA but no knows for sure. After reading through all the comments on XDA, I wasn’t able to determine stability or any current issues. It does appear that there is a new radio in this leak that might improve download speeds as well as battery life. We know a few devs are already working on these files and pulling things to add into their own personal ROM’s. If you happen to be running a different build of ICS and currently happy, then we suggest just holding off for a few and wait for your favorite developer to put something new together.

If you are the impatient type and more interested in testing things out on your own, you can head to mrxkill’s XDA thread for the particulars.

I worked at T-Mobile for 5 years. I was the go to guy for Android phones and training. That passion didn't stop even after my departure from the company. I currently moved up from my MyTouch 3G to a Samsung Vibrant. A lot has changed in a very short time. I look forward to all the latest and greatest every time I wake up.

I am the (un)lucky owner of the Nexus S 4g from Sprint, build IMM76D. They have told me for several months since I was talked into buying the phone when my contract was up, that it would be one of the first phones to get the full functionality of ICS4.04 when they did the roll out. Now This week I amm told that that phone does not support the hardware upgrades: facial rec., camera upgade with zoom and all else. What I got was just the ICS color and layout scheme. I have been a 10 year customer of Sprint and have been lied to and am stuck with a phone that has turned into a brick. These were important to for reasons I won’t take up time to explain, but Supervisors had me do factory resets on the phone saying the phone does support all the upgrades, now am told just the oposite. I know and have read that this build # does support ICS 4.0X. I am so mad I don’t know what to do. If I root the phone, I can say goodbye to any futue support. I am disabled and have spent 50-60% of my disposable income to stay with Sprint and the neewest phone. But now they are being very rude after I listened to them and would have waited for the SII. Don’t know what to do. Any advice?
