GetGlue fans rejoice! Your favorite social check-in app just got a little bit cooler, thanks to the latest update that just hit the Android Market today. If you’ve never tried GetGlue, it’s a social application from AdaptiveBlue, that lets you check-in to TV, movies, music and other types of happenings or topics. The app features a unique rewards system and awards users with discounts that can be unlocked upon check-in, as well as collectible swag, in the form of nifty little stickers that GetGlue mails out to you for free.

I’ve been a longtime user and fan of the service, so I was quite pleased to find a message from GetGlue PR today, informing me that the latest update is now available. In the new version, users will find a new Stream system, which gives users a visual stream of check-ins from other GetGlue users and people on your friends list.

The comments overlaid on top of the images inspire the discovery of new shows, movies and music through friends. You can vote and reply on any check-in right from the stream or tap the entry to get more details.

Also included in this update is real-time conversation — a convenient user interface, which allows easy conversation navigation and management. This is a handy feature that looks to increase social participation by making it easier for users to communicate with each other.

 Each check-in is a gateway to an interesting conversation. The new Conversation screen displays friends and interesting comments from other fans who are checked-in to the same show right now. You can tab through the arrows to to easily switch between several recent conversations.

Each Guide is dynamic and created based on personal tastes, friends activity, trends across the GetGlue community, and popular genres.  The Guides are constantly updated with fresh recommendations for shows, movies, and music and make it easy for users to preview, save and discover their next “favorite.”
