Biscotti TV Phone

If you’ve read any of my product reviews here at AndroidSPIN, you already know how much I enjoy getting new gadgets to run through the mud and review. Today, I was greeted by the UPS man with a package I’ve waited on since seeing this particular device on the showroom floor at CES 2012 last month. Say hello to the Biscotti TV Phone — a device that turns any HDTV into a giant videophone and connects you with anyone using Google Talk with video chatting capabilities. There are no monthly fees for the Biscotti. All you need is a WiFi connection and an HDTV with an HDMI input and you’re good to go.

We’ll be doing a full review of the device in the coming days and will be communicating closely with Biscotti during the testing process. We’re even hoping to do an interview with some of the great minds behind the device, but we wanted to give you a quick look at what’s inside the box before we start digging in. Take a look at the video below:

The Biscotti TV Phone is available now for $199. While you’re waiting for our review, make sure to stop by Biscotti’s website for the full rundown and purchasing info.

Android addict would be the two words I would use to describe myself. It’s the first thing I check in the morning, and the last thing I check before bed. I’m 30 years old, my first Android phone was the G1, shortly after its launch. I have also owned a myTouch 3G, and I have a myTouch 4G, which I am absolutely in love with. Other than Android, I’m a father, brother, college student, and almost-full-time employee at a local brewery/restaurant here in the cornfields of Iowa. If there’s anything you’d like to know, please feel free to hit me up. I’m a pretty nice guy, and I respond as quickly as I can. Thanks for stopping by!

I saw this at CES and sat down for a demo, originally just to get the free cookie. Really cool, and tho her demo didn’t exactly go according to plan… likely because of all the different network conditions, I got the general gist. Great product but I’ll wait til it goes on sale or bundle discount.
