Update for Google Docs drops, brings offline mode and a better tablet Experience

Google loves to make our life as easy as possible. With Google Music and Google Maps both offering offline support, it was only a matter of time before Google made the move to do the same thing for Google Docs. With today’s update you will finally be able to set documents to b available offline to review and edit. In addition to just making it offline, the documents will auto-sync when you connect to a Wi-Fi network. Allowing you to work on them on the go and make them available for everyone easily.

The update also brings an improved reading experience of your docs on your tablet. Check out a few of the other minor changes that have been made below -

What’s in this version:

  1. Make any file available offline for view access while not connected.
  2. Manage offline content, including seeing what’s out of date.
  3. Automatic syncing of offline content while on wifi.
  4. Star and rename files while offline.
  5. Improved reading experience of Google documents while on a tablet.
