More Carrier IQ removal by Sprint, get your HTC Evo Shift 4G update Now

It is good to see Sprint and HTC still hard at work to get Carrier IQ removed from their devices. The latest in updates comes to the HTC EVO Shift 4G. Since most updates don’t just fix one item, you can expect a few little nuggets in this one. Most notably is the Carrier IQ removal, but you also get a Peep client update and some tweaks to help improve your battery life. We could all used increased battery life, am I right?

The OTA is alive and well ans has started to roll out. If patience is not one of your virtues, you can try to prompt for manual update via Settings > About phone > System updates > HTC Software update. If you aren’t in a big rush keep an eye for a notification after February 7th.
