Pick up a classic and help a student, Battleship with online play Available

While perusing through the usual locations to find something unique and great to share with our readers, I came across a new BattleShip game. Not that the classic needs much introduction, place your ships and try to blow up the other guys first. Straight forward game play really. The game has been created by junior XDA member joao12ferreira and a colleague of his. This is their first attempt at an Android application and it is a good start.

You can play against an actual opponent with online play or against your device, which ever suits you best. The controls could use some revamping since placement of your ships requires the use of an onscreen directional pad which vibrates every time you touch it. Rather annoying if you ask me. The dev has recently spent some time working with the online server to speed things up a bit.

The game is still relatively new and has some things that could improve it easily. For a first time leap into Android and development, we wanted to be sure to help support a new comer and also help them get a good grade. If you feel like checking it out and showing your support for joao12ferreira at ISEC, and also showing them how awesome the Android community is, then pick the app up below and give it a whirl.
