O2 in the UK originally aimed for a mid April release date for an Ice Cream Sandwich update to their
Samsung Galaxy S II customers. Looks like they beat that target by a few weeks. I personally don’t mind getting an update a head of schedule rather than dealing with another push back. The update is currently available via
Samsung Kies. Meaning the update is not a normal OTA that many other manufacturers or carriers utilize. Samsung has been using their software more and more frequently and it seems like that won’t change anytime soon. Many of you should already have Kies installed on your PC and set up. If you don’t, head to
Samsung’s website and pick up the application. Get it installed and plug in your device. You usually want to make sure you have at least 50% charge on your device before performing an update so it doesn’t die during reboots and such. That would be a bad thing. Good luck and let us know how the process goes and what you think of
ICS on your SGSII.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
