I don’t know if any of you are like me, but for some reason I like the ability to see a new text message on my phone without even touching it. Yes, sometimes you might run into that situation where you have the phone out on the table and you get a message that you do not want anyone else to see; and well, they see it. It does happen unfortunately. I think with running Handcent, GO SMS, and a MIUI ROM that all had SMS Pop-ups, spoiled me with this very feature. So anyone using their stock SMS that wants a pop-up is going to go with SMS Popup.
SMS Popup has been around since the G1 days. Not to many updates come with this app, but couple days ago they added a nice little theme to it that makes it look sexy. They brought the ICS Holo Theme to the pop-up just to make your phone look a little more ICS. Now it says in the “what’s new” description that it brings the Holo Theme to “ICS devices”, so I am not quite sure if the theme will work for anything less than ICS. I am rocking a beta ICS ROM and it works great. So let us know if it works for devices that do not have ICS yet.
