HTC Sensation’s super Mod ported to HTC Vivid, make that camera Rock

We shared a modification that was created for the HTC Sensation a while back that dramatically improved the devices camera quality and abilities. The mod was quick and easy to install and just as easy to remove if you suffered and ill effects. Now the same mod that Sensation owners have been loving and enjoying has been ported to the HTC Vivid. The process involves flashing a zip file to your device through ClockworkMod and rebooting. Pretty straight forward isn’t it.

The port was made possible by XDA member zacgoesrawr and seems to have all the goodies of the original available. He has created one specifically for the Inquisition ROM and the second should be compatible with all Sense 3.6 based ROMs. No word on it working with AOSP ROMs or Sense 4.0 ROMS, assuming those are available for the Vivid, we haven’t check recently. The key enhancements that you can look forward to ar as follows -

Uncapped JPEG File size. Great photo quality.
Uncapped Video, recording 40MBPS.
Beta ISO 1250
Further increases in quality from before.

Never hurts to make your camera better than it already is right? We just wish the OEM’s would do this stuff out of the box and make the device all it can be to start with. If you are looking to check it out for yourself and give it a whirl, hit up zacgoesrawr’s XDA thread for the files needed.
