I know we have said this before, but ASUS really is one of the best device manufacturers around, in our opinion. Sure they aren’t without their issues, but they consistently look for solutions and provide updates regularly to address everything. Another update from ASUS has been released for the OG
Transformer, TF101, that brings it up to build v9.2.1.24. It is currently rolling out and available here in the U.S. and Canada. This update will bring you guys the following -
- Improves system stability
- Improves Email App stability
- Improves MyNet stability
- Improves MyLibrary stability
- Add System Bar Lock: Lock the system bar when playing games
- Add Email App new feature: Email download size/Thread/Out of office notification/Mail Sync schedule
- Face Unlock
Improvements to stability are always a nice thing to see. We know some of you have been having a lot of issues with reboots and such. Hopefully this update will fix that. If you haven’t checked for the update yet, you can hit up Settings – About Tablet – System Firmware Update to pull it up. Let us know how it works out and if the Face Unlock works well or not.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.

To be truefull. 1st. I got the reboot and power off problem on 1st may. Now 22nd May, I cant power off my EEE pad again. The ICS release was never well tested and there is bascially zero product support. My 3G SIM card the cap had fallen off first day when I got it. When I got it back from the 1st repair, was told it has been replace. Instead, I saw super glue stain on it. Super lousy Asus hard repair based in Singapore. This will be my first and last hardware from Asus.
Not to forget the time and effort of setting up the EEE Pad. Now, I will had to fallback to my old Tablet which never given me problem for the past 3 yrs.
