T-Mobile announces Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Galaxy S II on June 11th

The wait might finally be over, at least for T-Mobile customers rocking a Samsung Galaxy S II. Just this afternoon, 12:01 actually, T-Mobile dropped a tweet to let everyone know that Ice Cream Sandwich is on its way. This could be the first state side S II to get the icy treat. The 11th is still 10 days away though, Sprint and AT&T have a small window of opportunity to beat them to it. The tweet specifically mentions the update landing via the Samsung Kies software, with no mention of an OTA. We aren’t sure if an OTA will be rolled out also, but it doesn’t matter so much. Kies is effective at completing updates and is easy enough. It also allows for people to do it on their own schedule and not sit around waiting for a notification to pop up. We kinda like updating in this fashion.

You guys ready to finally get your ICS update?

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
