ASUS confirms 7” Nexus tablet

3

The rumors of an ASUS made Google Nexus tablet have been going for a while and we were pretty sure they were true, but honestly, I’ve never expected any kind of confirmation of this until the oficial announcment. It turns out that an ASUS rep told Android Authority that the 7 inch tablet is in fact coming soon.

It will be powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 3 chip and should cost around $200 which seems possible thanks to the Kai platform Nvidia showed recently. The rep also confirmed that the tablet will be coming at the end of June so it fits perfectly with the Google I/O dates.

No more data has been revealed, but since the I/O is just around the corner, we can wait for it.
