HTC Rezound ICS update posted, but nowhere to be found

HTC Rezound owners have been anxiously awaiting for their Android 4.0 ICS update for as long as they can remember, and HTC knows this. They’ve posted the whole change log online and you can download the update…nowhere. Wait what?

According to HTC, the update should be available today: 6/20/12. But the update is nowhere to be found, and HTC Rezound owners are reporting that they’re not getting any update notifications. So if the change log is there, and HTC has officially announced it, then there can be only one culprit: Verizon.

Hopefully in the coming days Verizon can give us a specific rollout date for these anxious HTC Rezound owners with their ICS update. Until then, check back onto this page for further updates.

It will be nice to get it, but rest assured this is the last Android anything I will ever own. So sick of the constant bulls**t in trying to get upgrades. Has happened on every single device I have had. Done with it.

Every Android user feels your pain. If you are after consistency then nearly all Android users will say get an iPhone. If you want customization, hackery and fun, then it is Android all the way. For instance, I don’t buy Android because of updates. I buy Android because of the development. I have Ice Cream Sandwich running fast and smooth on my Samsung Vibrant about a month after it was released. I get excellent battery life and have no issues. Samsung on the other hands, says that the original Galaxy S devices can’t support ICS because of their TouchWiz UI. Easy fix, kill TouchWiz. It all come down to preferences and manufacturers. The one thing Apple and the iPhone have going for them is constant updates because they only have to support ONE device, not 200. But iPhones are limited in ‘extra’ abilities for someone that enjoys trying new things and changing things around.

Right. True android fans only buy Android Hardware, not the software. Im with T-Mobile, Im good there, sure it could be better but I cant complain…to much. Anyways I buy phones by their specs, not what Sammy or HTC is launching on it, because it has to be stocked for me, so I dont worry what carriers are pushing or not pushing, I will be loading what I want on it by the end of the day. In fact I wont even buy a phone unless its stock or its already Rooted and ROMd, luckily Im on a new Galaxy Nexus now. Jelly Bean in a week!!! haha
