makes one of the more predominant tablets in the tablet arena. Creating tablets that are beautifully designed, well equipped and updated often. With every new tablet they show the world, more and more people want one. The original Transformer sold extremely well, then came the Transformer Prime, them the less expensive Transformer Pad and now we move to the Transformer Pad Infinity. It first showed its sexy face at CES in Las Vegas in January. At that time it was more of a “look what we are doing” sort of thing. The fact that it is a 10.1-inch display isn’t anything new. Sporting a Tegra 3 processor at 1.6GHz’s was to be expected, 1 GB of RAM…. eh.. Launching with Ice Cream Sandwich, well duh What pushes the Infinity to the next level is purely the screen resolution. Utilizing a Super IPS+ display, ASUS is pushing a 1900 x 1200 resolution with a pixel density of 224ppi. That is better than reality for some people.
ASUS is planning to launch the Infinity on July 16th here in the states for just $499 for the 32GB variant. Tag another $100 to that and you can snag the 64GB variant. They are reportedly working on an LTE version of the Infinity as well. With current limitations of the Tegra 3 chip set though, you can expect it to get a Qualcomm S4 processor replacement. I think I’d rather go for the Wi-Fi model myself. From what we have gathered so far, your current Transformer keyboard dock is compatible with this bad boy too.
