HTC, Huawei, ZTE and Pantech get patent complaint from FlashPoint Technology

1

As if we need another patent infringement case on the books for any of our Android manufacturing partners. Alas, it looks like another one is underway. HTC, Huawei, ZTE and Pantech are all going to be investigated by the international Trade Commission after claims of of patent infringements were brought forward from FlashPoint Technology. The USITC said the investigation is pointed towards a number of certain electronic imaging devices. Pretty much aiming their sites at mobile phones, tablets and anything else these companies make that have imaging capabilities. Which puts many great Android devices in the cross fire.

It could spell some trouble for the 4 manufacturers, but not enough to warrant grey hair over. Seems like another case of patent trolling if you ask us. Especially after finding another article from back in November of 2011, where Flahpoint attempted the same sort of patent claim and was dismissed.
