It looks like Motorola is doing everything they can to keep some of their
Ice Cream Sandwich update time lines in tact for their devices. The
Droid Bionic was listed as getting its update in early Q3 of this year. For those that aren’t sure when the heck that is, it is now. Q3 runs July to September. Another updated ICS build has been discovered on the Motorola servers recently that take it from build 6.7.230 that leaked out early this month and moves it to 6.7.235. This very small and minute change could be a strong indication that Motorola is near releasing the update officially.
On to the not so good part of this leak. Apparently if you take your chances and give the new leak a flash you will be stuck on it, FOREVER! By forever, we mean at least until devs solve the BLOCK that is built into it. Which currently blocks you from going back to Gingerbread entirely. Talk about a sneaky little trick to pull. Seriously, even everyone in the XDA thread say stay away. You have been warned and are free to break what ever you want though.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.

really have interest in going back….but will this prevent me from going forward as newer builds are released? That is the $64K question….
So we’re now out to Q3. Yet another release date missed by Motorola. I’ve owned Motorola phones since the half brick, I’ve seen them screw up before, but nothing like this. I have an upgrade coming soon and that Galaxt SIII is looking good. Samsung seems to have it together alot better than Motorola.
