Here we go with another manufacturer confirming
Jelly Bean for a series of their devices. HTC let loose a statement that they are in fact working on Jelly Bean updates for the some of the ‘One’ line of devices.
Engadget also learned that the U.S. branded carrier models on AT&T and T-Mobile and Canadian carrier Rogers are also in the works. They did fail to mention anything about the HTC One V, EVO 4G LTE or the Droid Incredible 4g LTE though. We are sure there is something in the works for some, if not all, of them too.
“We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.”
This isn’t surprising news, but it is welcomed. The international variants will probably see the update long before anything here in North America gets it. Remember, all the carriers have to approve it and fill it up with their software first. This does make us wonder a few things though. How will project butter and the wonders of Jelly bean play with Sense 4.0? Will we be looking at another Sense revamp to Sense 4.5 or 5.0? It seems like most of what Jelly Bean has to offer will be lost with manufacturer updates that will include a custom UI. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
