New root method for Verizon Galaxy S III, no ODIN Needed

For many devoted Samsung owners around the globe, you have no doubt seen, used, sometimes loved and other times hated ODIN. When it works it does its job nicely, when it doesn’t well, it is a bit of a headache. While it is a nice to tool to have at your disposal, some of us would rather steer clear of it if possibly. Now there is a new tool that was brought over from the Transformer Prime forums that words with the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy S III to gain root without the use of ODIN.

The method will still involve the use of a PC and we aren’t seeing anything about Mac or Linux support. Overall you just need a few files, some of which you might already have and the ability to read a few simple instructions. Noxious Ninja makes note that the tool is also known to work with LF2 and LG1.

Of course before you attempt to install things and root your device it is advised to read through the original post, instructions and never hurts to check the comments for any issues users are having. It can often help keep you from breaking something or getting overly frustrating. If you are ready to take the plunge, head over to Noxious Ninja’s XDA thread. Be sure to check out the handy little video as well for the more visual learners out there.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
