The new service is currently available for pre-registration and comes in 3 packages. Each one a little more fantastic than the other. The first one is FREE. Yes, we said FREE. Google is offering up a standard 5Mbps internet connection for no charge a month at all. Assuming you want to spend the $300 construction fee. Other wise you can pay just $25 a month for 12 months to pay it all off. Oh, and no stupid data caps.
Next is a 1Gigabit connection for $70 a month. Again no data caps, but this time the construction fee is waived and you sign a 1 year contract. In addition to the speeds you also get a 1 TB Google Drive account.
Third and probably the best one in our opinion. The $120 a month package. Again, 1Gigabit internet, no data caps, 1TB Google Drive storage and a 2 year contract. There is more though, you also get the TV Box, so you can watch the TV channel line up, but you also get a Nexus 7 tablet.
To get this all off the ground, Google needs people to pre-register for the service. Creating what they call Fiberhoods. The locatios with the most pre-registered users will get the ability to have Google Fiber set up first. There is a time line though, you have until September 9th to pre-register. This is just for Kansas City citizens by the way. We could spend hours going over every little detail of the service, but we will just direct those of you still interested in knowing more over to Google for now and be sure to watch the videos below that Google just released.
