Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update out for all Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi Tablets,

3

That certainly took less time than we thought. Just 2 days ago the Jelly Bean soak test went out to willing testers for the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi edition tablet. Obviously everything went well and they are pushing the update to Android 4.1.1 to all Wi-Fi XOOM owners. Some of you might see the update notification pop up, but if you hate to wait, like me, you can try the Google Framework clearing technique that has been used on many other devices. Just go to settings/apps/google services framework/clear data. It might pop up right away, you might have to try it a couple of times. Happy updating, and please let us know how it all looks and runs on your XOOM.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.

But no Verizon LTE XOOMs…ever! I got this from Verizon!

Hi sir, after extensive research, at this time VZW isn’t going to be lunching the Jelly Bean software. Thanks and have a great day.

I updated my wifi Xoom to Jelly Bean- and it now has trouble with my external SD card. In settings, the sd card shows up, but none of my apps can find it, and two file managers (Astro and ES File Explored) can’t find it either.

No sd card access on any of my media players, not good at all and I have no idea what’s going on. The sd card is good, checked it on my computer and I checked it while it is in the Xoom by hooking up my USB cable. Tried rebooting, unmounting and remounting, nothing works.
