[RUMORS] Nexus 2 rumors and mock ups underway Already?

As Android users we spend very little time focusing on what is available now. Sure, we will spend hours with our device hacking it, rooting it, installing mods and trying new things. Once a device is out, it tends to get lost by the wayside to what is coming next. What are most people thinking about in the future, the Samsung Galaxy S IV and the Nexus 2. While the first is still a ways out there, the next Nexus device isn’t to far off. People are already starting the rumor mills and the mock ups of what it could and should be. Not that they are bound by any concrete evidence. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t fun to think about. But please remember, this is not truth, take it all with a grain of salt and use it to let your next Nexus device imagination run wild.

A pretty slick-looking mock-up was recently created by Killu-Chan and released on Concept-Phones.com. Showing a sexy edge-to-edge screened device that has some design elements straight out of the Motorola design team. Or so it would look to us. They even offer up a bit of speculative specs that could and would, make the next Nexus a sure-fire winner.

Crazy sounding right? While many of the features seem extremely plausible, we would have to call BS on the RAM. 8GB? Seriously? The battery isn’t to far-fetched though, considering the mock-up looks Motorola in nature and the RAZR MAXX has accomplished that feat with a 3300mAh battery. But I have never know Motorola to use Tegra chips. That could change of course being that this would be a Nexus device. Plus we still have no idea who is making the next Nexus to begin with. On a side note though, there was rumor a while back that a few Nexus variants from multiple companies would be hitting the Play Store at some point in time. Who knows, maybe Motorola, Samsung and HTC will all be putting one out.

While we sort of dig the mock-up, similar things were shown off for the Galaxy S III. While it is slick and the bezel is smaller, it definitely never made it to edge-to-edge. We know the rumors of the Nexus 2, or whatever it might be named, should start to filter out pretty regularly now. Would be cool. Someone (except crApple) needs to make a damn edge to edge phone… we have all been drooling about one for a few years now!

However, if the phone seriosuly is 5″ i am out. didnt get an s3 cause its just too damn big, but love my one s.

and i love my galaxy nexus now, im excited for the new ones but at the same time not ready yet, cuz ill get jealous of what they are and the old phone ill then have

Nexus 2? The Nexus4 is the 4th iteration of the Nexus phone, how can you say the Nexus 2 or the second Nexus?
