Sprint pushes ICS to the HTC EVO Design 4G today Too

4

Well now, what a great day for Sprint customers. Following up the HTC EVO 3D and Samsung Epic 4G Touch, the HTC EVO Design 4G is also getting its Ice Cream Sandwich update. Originally aimed to be landing on devices in early August, Sprint seems to have gotten things together faster than they anticipated. That isn’t a bad thing. We would all much rather have the update sooner than anticipated, as long as it works.

The update is rolling out in traditional OTA style and will becoming out in stages. The target of early August is easily still a good time frame for all Evo Design’s to be updated. As usual though, make sure your device has a near full charge, a good WiFi connection for a speedy download and expect a few minutes of down time while it installs. You can always head into your device settings and give the “Check for Updates” button a whirl, but no promises it will pop up. Good luck and happy updating.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.
