Tired of all the market share posts yet? Well here is one more! Google released new Android numbers and ICS doubled since last month, bringing it to a total of 15.9% among Android devices! (It seems in order for an OS to go big, you have to let carriers know they are behind by 2 now).
Jelly Bean also made its market share debut at 0.8%. I’m sure its nearly all in just Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus devices. Wonder how much it’ll grow when it hits those 10 million pre-ordered Galaxy S3′s…
Here are all the numbers, in highest to lowest order:
- 2.3.3 – 2.3.7: 60.3%
- 4.0 – 4.0.3: 15.9%
- 2.2: 14.4%
- 2.1: 4.2%
- 3.1-3.2: 2.3%
- 4.1: 0.8%
- 1.6: 0.5%
- 1.5: 0.2%
(Funny fact, my dad is one of the ones still on 1.5 or 1.6. Stupid HTC Hero…)

Gingerbread was a great version, remember prior to that, with the app drawl you would slide up, kinda miss that when i think back, that was cool for the time!
People still have Android 1.5?! Wow…
