In traditional Motorola fashion, they have begun sending out invites to feedback members wishing to partake in an update for the
Motorola DROID 4. They fail to mention specific details such as when and what the update will bring. We fully expect it to be a soak test for
Ice Cream Sandwich though. A few signs point to this being the case. Like the fact that Motorola has stated
many devices would see ICS in Q3. Which is what quarter we are currently in. Also, Droid-Life noticed a “ICS Waiting Room” thread that was recently added to the Motorola D4 forums. The mod informed people to be sure to opt-in for the Motorola Feedback Network.
Until the soak test begins we can only speculate that it will indeed be ICS, but we can’t imagine the bread crumbs being left are for a bug fix update. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that ICS is right around the corner for all you DROID 4 owners.
