CM10 Nightlies Now Merging with Android 4.1.2 Starting Today

The boys at Cyanogen are wasting no time in getting the latest and greatest of Android out to us. This week we learned that Android 4.1.2 will be what is running on the new LG Nexus, and that the Nexus 7 will soon be receiving the update. As much as we were all were craving some Key Lime Pie, I think we all would agree that releasing the next Android OS would be a bit rushed considering that Jelly Bean has only been out for about 4 months. So we get an enhanced version of Jelly Bean. Fine by me.

Today Ricardo Cerqueira posted on his Google+ page that CM10 will now be merging with the Android 4.1.2 update. That is pretty much all he gave us. That, and a picture of a changelog that really only developers will know exactly what has changed and we might just nod and except this merge. And he said “merge” so I guess they are taking their awesomeness of Android 4.1.1 and adding the 4.1.2 enhancements to it. So if you are rocking som CM10 nighlies, be sure to check th latest version and see if it is version 4.1.2. Let us know how it runs, and what device you are using it on.

Installed it yesterday afternoon. No reboots and battery life is great! Previously I was seeing 15-20% per hour battery loss, with minimal usage. Now, I’m seeing about 5%!
